MRS. ETTA E. THACKER, 86, of South Point, Ohio, died Thursday, July 15, 1993 in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W. Va. Funeral services will be at Schneider Funeral Home, Chesapeake, by Rev. Gilbert Lester. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. She was born March 9, 1907 in Scottown, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Sara McComas Dillon. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County, Ohio, and was a member of the Lockdale Church of God in Burlington, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Thacker; two sisters, Carrie Boster and Bertha Callicoat; and six brothers, Roy Dillon, Clovis Dillon, Johnny Dillon, Ogle Dillon, Owen Dillon, and George Dillon. She is survived by two sons, Raymond Lee Thacker of South Point, and Roger Dale Thacker of Wheelersburg, Ohio; two granddaughters, Shari Lee Thacker and Elizabeth Ann Thacker; two sisters, Margaret Belville and Rachel Shafer, both of Ironton, Ohio; and one brother Irvin Dillon of Ironton. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Schneider Funeral Home.
