My Best Friend, SANDRA "SANDY" LEE BITTERS ❤

Sandy and I met in Alaska, we were on a Royal Caribbean cruise which we both had earned selling Avon. The cruise included a trip to Alaska and Canada. We were both with our husbands, Tim and Tom. When I first met her, we were in the formal dining area of the cruise ship seated across from each other. Right after dinner, she asked me if I wanted to hang out with her and we were "BFF's" from that very moment. She was 19 years older than me but, she said that I didn't treat her like she was older. Yes, she was full of compliments. We exchanged phone numbers that night and went on several excursions together. We went whale watching in Juneau, Alaska on a 75 foot catamaran. We had dinner in Juneau and Skagway, Alaska. We went on a train ride in Skagway up in the mountains all the way to Canada. We visited the historic Craigdarroch Castle which was built in the late 1800's in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. We also went to the Tongass National Forest and saw the Beautiful Mendenhall Glacier. We saw many shows on the cruise and shared many good times in the Schooner Lounge where my husband sang karaoke and entertained us all. We had made plans to visit each other, she lived in California and I live in Arkansas. Sadly, we didn't get to make that trip.
Sandy was beautiful inside and out, she had the most beautiful smile. She passed away in April of breast cancer. Words cannot express how I felt about this special lady and her husband, Tom. I am very blessed and grateful to have known her.
God Bless her family and all of you who visit her memorial.
