A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia for Mary Louise Sparks Jones , 71, who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 10:00 am on Tuesday.

Chaplain Shelton Clay will officiate at the Memorial Service.

Mary was born in Victoria, Texas, on January 10, 1948. She enjoyed gardening, crafting and creating, especially quilting and sewing. She was very talented at heirloom sewing and once sewed for a designer in Texas and even had a piece named after her, the "Mary Boa". She loved her dog Gracie, and enjoyed spending time with her at home. Mary will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Traci Chandler of Breaux Bridge and Taffi Chandler (Kade) of Ragley, LA; son, Troy Chandler (Leslie) of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Tommy Sparks (Brenda) of Marshall, Texas, and Richard Moore (Rhonda) of Rosamond, California; sisters, Ann Cook (Ron) of Round Rock, Texas, and Barbara Laborde of Madisonville, Texas; grandchildren, Jacob Baswell, Aralynne Poirot, Grasey Chandler, Gabrielle Dugas, and Gaige Dugas; and two great grandchildren, Estella Dugas and Rhylee Melancon.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents Lee Roy and Myrtle Lawrence Sparks; brother; Billy Moore; birth parents, Elaine B. Shultz and Otis Acklen; and former spouse, Barry Chandler.
