Obituary Transcription:BILLY JACK BUMGARNER - AMARILLO DAILY NEWS 17 JULY 1991 Sec. C p. 3:CANYON: Billy Jack Bumgarner, 65, died Monday, July 15, 1991 in Abilene. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Schooler-Gordon Chapel in Canyon with Bob Shepard, minister of University Church of Christ Bible Chair, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mr. Bumgarner was born and raised in Murfreesboro, AR. He retired from West Texas State University in the maintenance department as a plumber. Survivors include his wife, Aurora Rose Bumgarner of the home; a stepson, Steve Perazza of Abilene; four brothers, Maurice Bumgarner of Alvarado, Henry Bumgarner of Granbury and Lindell Bumgarner of Nashville, Ark; two sisters, Wonzie Lingo of Murfreesboro and Betty Sue Jensema of Spanaway, Wash.; and a step-grandson.
