She was born August 30, 1945 in Rutherford County to the late Harvey Lee Crump and Virginia Rhyne Crump.
Brenda was a member of Old St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Newton. She previously played on the church softball team at Mt. View Baptist Church in Maiden.
Brenda worked as a teacher's assistant at Tuttle Middle School for many years and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. She also enjoyed flower gardening, reading, dancing, listening to bluegrass music and visiting the beach. Brenda loved getting on the floor and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Crump, Harry Crump and Richard Crump; sisters, Faye Ross, Joyce McCurry and Margie Hamrick.

A memorial service to celebrate Brenda's life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Old St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Newton. Rev. Robert Sain will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at Old St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
