MARY JO VERBAUWHEDE

Mrs. Mary Jo Verbauwhede, age 76, of 1239 S. 24th St., Manitowoc, died on Saturday afternoon, June 2, 2007, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
The former Mary Jo Lippoldt was born on March 7, 1931 in Lakewood, Ohio, daughter of the late Rev. Jesse and Dorothy Schwarting Lippoldt. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in education. On April 1, 1959, Mary Jo was married to Rene Verbauwhede in Madison. She taught high school English at various high schools in Wisconsin and Washington, moving to Manitowoc in 2001. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband: Rene, of Manitowoc; three children and their spouses: Claire (Craig) Radecki of Boltonville; Jacques (Kathy) Verbauwhede of Whitelaw; and Coco (Einar) Anderson of Maribel; five grandchildren: Jordan, Sydney and Allyson Verbauwhede; and Jake and Jesse Shay; one sister and brother-in-law: Ruth (Orv) Behnke, of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 411 Reed Ave., Manitowoc. The Rev. Thomas J. Dunham will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m.
