HEIDI JO ZINDA
(1965 - 2007)
Heidi Jo Zinda, age 42, a former Manitowoc resident, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2007, in Arizona as a result of an auto accident.
Heidi Jo was born on May 27, 1965, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Don and Lorraine L. Lambert Zinda. She graduated from Roncalli High School with the class of 1983. She then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, graduating in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. Heidi Jo then received her master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1992. Heidi Jo was then employed with the Door County school system as the school social worker and program director until 1999.
In 1999, she was certified as a Reiki massage master and hypnotherapist. Heidi Jo was also active as a natural health professional. She then moved back to Manitowoc accepting a position with hospice as a hospice social worker/volunteer coordinator. Heidi Jo then moved to Arizona in 2004 and was presently employed as a hospice social worker in Sedona, Ariz.
Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law: Mary Lou Hacker, Cato, and Vickie (Honey) and Jo Koral, Manitowoc; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Gary and Carrie Zinda, Sobieski, Wis., and Sandy Zinda, Haywood, Wis.; nieces and nephews: Jodee (Terry) Koenig, Todd (Julie) Hacker, Stacy Hacker, Dean (Kelley) Hacker, Dane Hacker, Jason (Teri) Zinda, Tammi Zinda. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother: Allen (Rick) Zinda; infant sister: Jodee; one brother-in-law: Leon Hacker.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogan.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Thursday June 28, 2007, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
