Edward Wacek, age 80, of E243 Bolt Road, Denmark, died Saturday morning, December 30, 1995.
Edward was born November 29, 1915, in the town of Franklin, son of the late Joseph and Antonie (Valenta) Wacek. He was a lifelong area farmer. He married Dorothy DeWane October 18, 1941, at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. She preceded him in death December 6, 1995.
Survivors include sons, James and Joyce Wacek, Denmark; Dr. Thomas and Victoria Wacek, St. Joseph, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Chris Hallada, Paul, Sandy, Eddie, Bart Wiko, and Leewai Wacek; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Otillia Streeter, Norma Knadle, Violet Lukes, Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph, and one sister, Rose Wiltman.
In accordance with Edward's wishes his body was donated to the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 2, 1996, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Father Ronald Columbo will officiate.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wacek Memorial Fund at St. James Church.
