Richard (Luxie) Edman, age 71, of 1713 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died of sepsis during treatment for cancer June 30, 2007, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Richard was born Nov. 8, 1935, in Chicago, Ill. Beloved husband to Ann and father to Catherine Marie, he retired to Manitowoc 15 years ago from Skokie, Ill., after serving as vice president of Bear Brand Hosiery and president of Perfect Plus Hosiery. His wife Ann was employed at Santa's Best and Jagemann Stamping.
The family wishes to thank the Manitowoc Fire Department and paramedics for the many times they came to help Richard, and the Manitowoc County Health Care Center for their care before Richard returned home.
Richard wished to be cremated, and there will be no funeral services per his request.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
