Leonard Alexander, age 42, of Mount Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Patty Lambert officiating. Internment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Rosebush, Michigan.
Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, July 12, 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Helms Funeral Home.
Leonard was born Tuesday, October 9, 1962 in Mount Pleasant to Victor Jackson and Evelyn Inda (Keezhig) Alexander. He was a lifelong resident of the Mount Pleasant area and a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
Leonard is survived by his special friend Jenny Gibbons of Riverdale, and his children, Nathan McDaniel of Mt. Pleasant, Cheyanne Alexander and Tabitha Alexander of Riverdale, Beatrice VanConant-Alexander, and George VanConant-Alexander. He is also survived by his father, Victor Jackson of Mt. Pleasant, and a granddaughter Cordelia McDaniel; his brother, William Alexander of Mt. Pleasant, and sisters Julia Wixson and Carolyn Folts of Rosebush, and Shirley Burch of Mt. Pleasant; eight nieces and nephews, Trevor, Travis, and Nicole Alexander, Jason Wixsn, Lisa Kennedy, Doyletta Good, Theal Burch, and Diane Roux.
Leonard was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Geraldine.
