MARKED TREE -- Marion Dawson, 91, of Marked Tree died Thursday, July 12, at Three Rivers Nursing Center in Marked Tree.
She was a member of United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 25 years, was a former choir director and member of the choir for 73 years, served as treasurer of the UMW and served on the church's board of trustees.
She was a member of the Women's Progressive Club and past treasurer of Friends of The Library. The clock that is displayed in front of Marked Tree City Hall was donated by Mrs. Dawson.
Survivors include two sisters, Cynthia Dawson Williams of Fort Worth, Texas, and Frances Hays of Jackson, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Marked Tree with the funeral service beginning at 2:30. The Rev. Ron Williams and the Rev. Joe Sparks will officiate.
Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
Memorials made be made to First United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
