Angeline “Angie” Wolf, age 85, Clark, the widow of Bill Wolf, died on Monday night, October 28, 2019, in the Avantara Clark Care Center after a brief illness.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3rd from 4-6 PM with a Liturgical Wake service beginning at 5:30 PM all in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 4th at 11:00 AM in the St. Michael’s Catholic Church at Clark with burial following in the St. Boniface Cemetery at Clark. The Reverend Daniel Smith will officiate all services.

Casketbearers will be Mason, Micah, and Malachi Mennenga, Jordan Wolf, Gabriel Carrasco, and Jon Bannwarth. Honorary casketbearers will be her card group.

Angeline Ann Welk was born at Hague, ND on July 29, 1934, the daughter of Gabriel and Mary (Welder) Welk. She attended county school through the 8th grade near Hague.

John Wolf, Bills brother, who was married to Lena (Welk), Angie’s sister, introduced Bill to Angeline Welk. It worked out because on February 22, 1954, Bill and Angie were united in marriage in North Dakota. The family moved to a farm south of Clark for a short period of time and then settled on the farm in Lincoln Township, 3 miles west and ¼ miles south of Clark. They moved into Clark in 1980. Over the years Angie worked at the Clark Nursing Home, the Clark Bakery and also co-owned The Clothing Nook in Clark with Lois Wheeler.

Angie was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She will be remembered for her caramel rolls and being known as “The Little German.” A favorite pastime, actually an extreme interest, was card playing, especially pinochle.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Bill in 2016, and siblings, Rose Seiler, Florence Aberle, Lena Wolf, Francis, Harvey, Chuck, Victor, and William Welk.
Survivors include her children, Craig Wolf of Clark, Tim (Sharlene) Wolf of Chandler, AZ, Ron Wolf of Sioux Falls, Cindy Wolf of Clark, and Sheila Corey) Mennenga of Watertown, 7 grandchildren, Gabriel, Jordon, Lisa (Jon), Bri-Anna, Mason, Micah, and Malachi and 3 great grandchildren. Her siblings, Paul (Sandy) Welk of Lodi, CA, Doris (Pete) Hartze of Little Falls, MN, Jerome (Ruth) Welk of Center Pointe, IA, and Kathy (David) Schumacher of Mesa, AZ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial would be appreciated.
