Harold Odi Casali, 62, of Carmel, IN, died on Friday, December 26, 2003, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis after a long battle with cystic fibrosis.

He was born August 18, 1941, to the late Odi Casali (1910-2002) and Lila Ashworth-Casali (1918-1978). He was a 1959 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, WV and a 1964 graduate of West Virginia University earning his Masters in mathematics.

Harold served as a captain in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He served his community as secretary of both the Carmel Civic Square Building Corporation and the Carmel-Clay Board of Education. Harold also served as treasurer of the Carmel Band Boosters; past president of the Carmel Rotary and secretary of Rotary District 6560. He had worked as Assistant Vice President - MIS of Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Group.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Elsa Casali (1945-1952).

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, BJ Bond-Casali; son, Jon Casali; brother, Anthony "Blaine" Casali and wife Denise Casali of Lynn Haven, FL, and sister, Susan "Sue" Jo Schwab and husband Bill Schwab of DeBary, FL.

Friends may greet the family Monday, December 29 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel. Contributions may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1261 W. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46260.
