Rose Abdoo, 66, a City of Poughkeepsie resident since 1946, died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital, Town of Poughkeepsie, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Abdoo was a member of St. Mary's Church, City of Poughkeepsie.
She was born in Manila, Philippines Nov. 12, 1920 to Jorge and Labibe Kattan Adad. On July 28, 1946, in Poughkeepsie, she married James Abdoo, who died in April 1966.
She is survived by a son, George Abdoo; two brothers, Jose Adad and Anthony Adad; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill St., Poughkeepsie.
Services will begin Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, and a Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Town of Poughkeepsie.
