Mary Ellen worked at Sterling Faucet, Morgan Shirt Factory and later for WVU Hospital in the laundry & food service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bruce E. Savage, Jr., her son, Joseph ‘Joe’ Savage, & three brothers, Ronald, Joseph, & Olando Petrucci.
Her surviving family members include her five children, Karin Savage Rife of Morgantown; Bruce Edward Savage, III of Derry, PA; LouAnn Cooley & husband Chuck of Star City, WV; Mark Savage & wife Peggy & Monty Savage & wife Lisa all of Mt. Morris, PA.; her daughter-in-law, Becky Savage of Morgantown & her brother, Ray Stanley ‘Buddy’ Sapp of Littleton, WV; 16 grandchildren & their families, Diana, Tamara, Ted, Bruce W., Sheri, Carrie, Billie Jo, Benjamin, Courtney, Dan, Beth, Mark, Mary Ann, Christy, Jessica & Monty, II; 40 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren & numerous nieces, nephews & extended family.
Family will receive friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, from 4-8 PM & again on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. Mary Ellen will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, PA.
