25 Years, Succombs
Mrs. Laura Isabell Hostetter, 86, resident of Fallbrook for 25 years, died Sunday in a San Diego Hospital. She made her home at 221 South Pico in Fallbrook.
Born May 27, 1871 in Boone County, Ind., the former Laura Fulwider married Edgar C. Hostetter March 27, 1889, in Palmyra, Neb.
Mr. and Mrs. Hosteter came to California in 1908, making their home in Whittier until moving to Fallbrook in 1930. Mr. Hostetter died April 6, 1946. Mrs. Hostetter was a member of the First Methodist church of Fallbrook and was active in WSCS and other church work.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Hostetter of Whittier and Carroll and Floyd Hostetter, both of Fallbrook; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Fallbrook Methodist Church. Rev. Stanley Smith, pastor, officiated, and burial was beside the grave of her husband at the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Fallbrook. The Palm Mortuary of Escondido had charge of arrangements.
