Vita R. (Armata) Nichols 88, of Natick died Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph F. Nichols who died in 2007. Born in Natick and a lifelong resident, she was the devoted daughter of the late Giacomo Jake and Giovanna Jennie (Scavuzzo) Armata. Vita was an active and very proud member for many years of the Natick Sons of Italy Club. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and loved to dance. Her family was the most important part of her life, raising four sons, and being part of her grandchildrens and great-grandchildrens lives. She is survived by four sons, Ralph A. Nichols and his wife Susan of Natick, Paul G. Nichols of Natick, John M. Nichols and his wife Sharon of Webster, Richard J. Nichols and his wife Ann of Holliston, 12 grandchildren Jake, Bethany Mace, Paulie, Keith, Bobby, Kenny, Julie Nichols- Scopa, Sara, Michael, Jake, Chloe Doust, Tim Rogers, 11 great-grandchildren, loving cousin Barbara Fornaro, and many nieces and nephews, and dear friends Maria and Renee Rancourt. She was the sister of the late An-tonio Armata, Diana Jones, Virginia Armata, and Mary Pololizio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Tuesday October 13 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick Church at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours are Monday October 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
