Lived in Pierce County for over 60 years.
Her professional dancing career spanned decades. She appeared numerous times on the local Stu Martin Show, bumped and grind with the Beach Boys at the Puyallup Fair, danced with Girl Trouble and, of course, Bob's Java Jive. She also performed on the $1.98 Beauty Contest and the Gong Show. Granny go-go danced in the hey-day of downtown Tacoma saying I can dance just as well with my clothes on as off. I can be a lady. One thing Sylvia always was was a lady.
She had a tremendous sense of humor and loved her cats and dogs that she fondly called her babies.
Preceded in death by her son, Robert Wehenger and her husband, Chester Eads.
