Aurelia M. Brandl, age 92, a former Manitowoc resident, died Friday morning, April 9, 2004, at St. Francis Nursing Home, Fond du Lac.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

Aurelia was born March 10, 1912, in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Heinzen Miller. On June 15, 1932, she married Edwin Brandl at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1994. The couple owned and operated a farm in the Town of Newton for many years, retiring in 1981, when they moved to Manitowoc. She was a former member of St. Isadore Catholic Church, Osman and presently a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Aurelia was also a member of the Pigeon Lake Garden Club and the Pine River Homemakers Club.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law: Jerome and Bernice Brandl, Pewaukee, Paul and Char Brandl, Elkhart Lake, Marvin and Jackie Brandl, Newton and Daniel and Carol Brandl, Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law: Shirley Groeschl, Fond du Lac and Kathy and Richard Neumeyer, Rockford, Ill.; twenty one grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. She is further survived by three brothers-in-law: Reinhardt Brandl, Walter Brandl, and his wife, Evelyn and Clarence Reindl; two sisters-in-law, Ida Heinzen and Florence Siehr, and her husband, Vic, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Mary Ann Brandl; a son-in-law: Les Groeschl; three brothers: Joseph, Wilfred and Arnold Miller and one sister: Marie Reindl.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, on Monday evening, April 12, 2004, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and also on Tuesday morning at St. Mary Catholic Church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to St. Francis Nursing Home, Fond du Lac and Whitetail Estates Assisted Living, Manitowoc.
