She met Thomas E. Jackson while in junior high. They remained together through high school and married on December 31, 1963. Their home was in Farmville while Thomas was in Vietnam and when he returned home they moved to Coco Beach, Florida. Tulsa became home in 1969 and later Inola in 1976.

When they were younger, Linda and Thomas loved to skate, and bowl, and were very active with their children's activities. They also enjoyed visiting with their friends. Holidays were always special to Linda. Her home was always decorated beautifully and the air was filled with the aroma of wonderful cooking, she made every event special.
