Vanita Pearl McCambridge
March 11, 1915 - November 10, 2019

Vanita Pearl (Ades) McCambridge , 104, of Boone, IA went to be
with her Lord and Savior on November 10, 2019.

Pearl was born in Boone on March 11, 1915 to Ethan and Rosina Ades.
She was the oldest of 7 children. Pearl graduated from Boone High
School in 1933. On April 4, 1937 she married Loran McCambridge
Of Boone where they made their home. After her husband, Loran,
passed away in 1952 Pearl stayed in Boone raising her 5 children alone.

Pearl worked for Boyd’s Dairy for 25 years, retiring in 1980. She
was a member of the Evangelical Free Church where she sang in the
choir, taught Sunday School and was a member of their White Cross.
She volunteered at Westhaven, the Evangelical Free Church Home and
the Eastern Star Home doing sewing and mending. She also
volunteered at Hidden Acres Christian Center. She was an avid reader
and loved walking. Most of all Pearl enjoyed time with family.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loran, son
James McCambridge, daughter Nancy (McCambridge) Anderson,
Granddaughter Erin Marie McCambridge, sons-in-law Jack Camelin and
George Anderson, 3 sisters: Della Holcomb, Geraldine Pierson, Lois
Droppers and 2 brothers Donald and Lloyd Ades.

Pearl is survived by her daughters Glenda Camelin of Boone, Kathryn
Lee (James) of Berkeley CA, her son Michael McCambridge (Vicki) of
Boone; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great
grandchildren with another on the way. She is also survived by one
sister, Helen Ufen, age 101, of South Dakota.

A memorial service in Pearl’s memory will be held Saturday,
November 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First Evangelical Free Church in
Boone, Iowa.
