She was born in Duryea, daughter of the late Frank and Helen Smiegel Plona, and resided in West Wyoming most of her life.
Ms. Plona was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church, Exeter.
Before retiring, she was employed as a floor-lady by Avenue Fashions and previously by other area dress factories.
Brothers, Stanley, Frank, Edward, Arthur and Leonard; sister, Josephine Kredlo, preceded her in death.
Surviving are son, Edward Ancas, West Wyoming; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Plona, Wyoming; Mary Manzio, Brooklyn, N.W.
Private funeral will be held Friday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Cecilia’s Church. Interment will be in parish cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
