Fred E. fickle, 85, died Sunday, June 9, 1996, at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born in Cass County, Ind., and had moved to Fruitland 11 years ago from Galveston, Ind. He was a Methodist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. His affiliations included Moose Lodge No. 1641 in Crescent City, the American Legion in Walton, Ind., Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kokomo, Ind., and the 40 and 8 Club in Logansport, Ind. He was a retired farmer.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M. Fickle; sons, Howard Turnpaugh of Kokomo, Ind., and David Turnpaugh of Oregon; daughter, Karen Criswell of Russiaville, Ind.; two sisters, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral and burial will be in Galveston, Ind.
