Bettyann Adams of West Nyack went to her eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 6, 2007. She was 70. She was born in NYC, on March 8, 1937 to Joseph and Elizabeth Novak. She was an avid Bingo Player, volunteered at St. Anthony's Church and belonged to the Senior Citizens Club of Clarkstown. "She loved spending our in heritance one penny at a time in Atlantic City". She also loved being with her grandchilden and great-grandson. Bettyann is survived by her loving children, Karen Ross and her husband Marc, son, Joseph Adams, Kathleen Guterl and Kristine Guterl and her husband Gary, seven grandchildren, Daniel, Stephen and Matthew Ross; Brian and Kaitlyn Guterl, Dillan Adams, Cody Guterl and one great grandson, Christopher Ross. She is also survived by her two brothers, Joseph Novak and his wife Esma and Paul Novak and his wife Nydia and sister-in-law, Joan Lyons and her husband Austin and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Bettyann was predeceased by her husband, Sidney E. Adams on February 6, 2004 and her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the "Independently Owned" Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Shrine Church, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
