He served 21 years in the US Air Force as a telecommunication expert, retiring as a Master Sergeant. His overseas tours included Turkey, England, Italy and Korea, and he was awarded numerous accommodations including the Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. Following his military service, he earned Bachelor and Masters of Administration degrees and worked as a Business manager for Visa International, an IT Communications Division Chief for LA Department of HLS and Emergency Preparedness, served as Department Adjutant for the American Legion of Louisiana and as Deputy Under-Secretary Louisiana Veterans Affairs.
He was survived by his wife of 48 years; a son; two grandchildren; four brothers; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass was held at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, on January 13, 2018.
