George Kuentz, retired town of Sheboygan Falls farmer, who this month observed his ninetieth birthday, is following in the footsteps of his sister, Mrs. John Never of Sheboygan Falls, who is 93, and his brother, Adam Kuentz, of Colby, who is 92. One brother, John, died at the age of 90, and a sister, Elizabeth Eggert of this city, at the age of 91.
Mr. Kuentz, who had lived in the town of Sheboygan Falls since he was a six-months old baby, brought there by his parents who immigrated from Germany, observed his ninetieth birthday on Sunday, Jan. 19, at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Richard Kuentz, near Sheboygan Falls, which whom he resided. Thirty-five relatives and friends enjoyed a social time, birthday supper and midnight lunch. Mr. Kuentz is in good health and the guests extended their wishes for many more happy birthdays.
From the time his parents brought him to this county until 14 years ago, Mr. Kuentz resided on the Kuentz homestead in the town of Sheboygan Falls which is now owned by William Schlichting. At the age of 26 years, he was united in marriage to Miss Hermina Beeck, who lived on a farm nearby the Kuentz homestead.
A daughter and a son where born to Mr. and Mrs. Kuentz. The daughter, Mrs. Otto G. Hahn, resides at Sheboygan Falls, Route 2, and the son, Richard Kuentz, died three years ago. Their mother died about 20 years ago.
Mr. Kuentz had five grandchildren, Mrs. Edward Hartmann of Sheboygan, Mrs. Albert Hartmann of Erdmann, Mrs. Louis Krazat, who lives near Sheboygan Falls, Mrs. William Federwisch of Sheboygan Falls and Egbert Hahn, Sheboygan Falls, Route 2. There are also three great grandchildren.
