Command Sgt. Major, James Stacy "Rock" Adams, U.S. Army, 42, of Bull Hill Road, Prince George, died Friday, January 2, 2004, while stationed in Eddersheim, Germany. He was born in New Orleans, LA and has served his country for 22 years in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Davis Adams, and his grandparents, Sidney and Grace Adams. Surviving are his parents, Richard Edward and Amy Griffin Adams of Prince George, and his grandparents, Carlton and Morris Griffin of Wakefield. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30PM Friday, January 9, 2004 in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, January 12, 2004 with U.S.Army Chaplain officiating in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Army Community Service, Army Emergency Relief, c/o Mrs. Karen McComas, 1231 Mahone Avenue, Fort Lee, Virginia 23801.
