Bernice Hutchins Minor, age 87 of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Life Care Center of Bardstown. She was born February 21, 1927 in Marion County. She enjoyed her Garden Club membership and judging floral entries at the Nelson County Fair. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Katie Medley Hutchins, three sisters, Viola Johnson, Delores Peake, and Annola Baker and three brothers, Albertus Hutchins, Harold Peake and Bill Peake. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Charles W. Minor, one daughter, Kathy Laroche of Florida, one son, David Minor of Ridgeland, South Carolina, two grandchildren, Leann Crockett and Wade Chambers both of Florida and one brother, Tony Hutchins of Bardstown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, April 25, 2014 at Holy Cross Church, 3560 N. St. Francis Road, Loretto, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant. Visitation is 3-8 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.

Pallbearers are Tom Johnson, Greg Thomas, Murl Rowe, Ross Brocato, Andy Mattingly, Addison Mattingly and Richard Douthitt.
