ABELL, Thomas Lloyd "Tom" - Suddenly after a brief illness at home on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at the age of 57. Loving father of Matthew Abell (Sarah) of Chicago. Adoring grandfather of Reese.

Predeceased by his beloved mother Mary and special Aunts Helen, Fran and Ruth. Dear son of Robert Abell of Florida. Also will be greatly missed by his step-mom and aunt Annie. Much loved by his sisters Mary Ellen (Fred Moore), Helen Anne (Richard Neary) and Sara Lynn (Craig Schmidt).

Proud uncle of Richard Neary (Sue), Sarah Neary-Bacon (Mike), Josh Kost, Erin Parsons (Terry), Sandra Stacy, Katey Vander Meulen, Jennifer Selvik and their children. A joy to his many cousins.

After a long career in business in Chicago, Tom had recently embarked on a second career as a Personal Support Worker in Kingston. Tom will also be greatly missed by many friends. To know Tom was to love him.

Memorial Service was held in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd.) on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 1:30 pm, friends will be received in the James Reid Reception Centre following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Kingston or the charity of your choice .
