Harold J. Mersinger
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. May 26, 1994, in Greater Portland Baptist Church with entombment in Riverview Abbey. Mr. Mersinger died May 22, 1994, of Parkinson's disease at age 87.
He was born March 20, 1907, in Condon. He was a 1926 graduate of Franklin High School. Before World War II, he was one of the 10 founders of Broadway Cab in 1930. He also was a founder of Radio Cab in 1946. From 1946 to 1975, he owned and drove a cab. From 1975 to 1980, he owned the cab company's meter shop.
His first wife, Ruth died 1979, and his second wife, Doris Donin, died in 1993. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
