June Maxwell Whigham, 82, of Whigham, GA passed away at her home in Whigham, GA, on Saturday, November 16, 2019.

On June 20, 1953, she married the love of her life, James Clinton Whigham, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2018. They were married for 64 years. Her passion in life was growing things, whether it be nurturing her grandchildren or working in her flowerbeds. She was a devoted member of Pine Level Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She loved her family, and the grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Survivors include:
three daughters and their husbands of Cairo, GA., Whigham, GA., & Pelham, GA.
a son and his wife of Cairo, GA.
ten grandchildren
nine great-grandchildren
two brothers and a sister-in-law of Whigham, GA.
a sister of Albany, GA.
a host of nieces, nephews and extended family

She was preceded in death by:
her parents, William Yancy Maxwell and Maggie Eula Ausburn Maxwell
her husband, James Clinton Whigham
sisters, Nancy Maxwell and an infant sister
brother, Jerry Maxwell

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Pine Level Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Rev. Jimmy Ausburn and Rev. Jim Weaver officiated. Private interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.
