Bernie was born on Feb. 23, 1934, in Dixon, Mo., to Samuel and Beatrice (Wright) Crane. He married Thelma Page. She passed away on Jan. 1, 2003. He married Shirley Wiker on May 19, 2004, in Harrisburg, Ill.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one stepdaughter, Sherry Page; and one sister, Betty Abrain.
Surviving are five stepsons, Kent (Kelly) Wiker of Pekin, Brian Wiker of Pekin, Brent (Paula) Wiker of Spring Grove, Ill., Joe Page of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Dave (Kim) Page of Americus, Ga.; and two stepdaughters, Connie (Todd) Shelabarger of Manito and Veronica Wiker of Waukegan, Ill.
Bernie was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a machinist at Caterpillar for 30 years, retiring in 1982.
He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
