According to an account of his death and funeral reported in The (Memphis, TN) Commercial Appeal, p. 5, of Thu 1 June 1939, William Morgan Goodbar (b. Aug 1868 in Memphis, TN) died of stroke Mon 29 May 1939 at Wesson, MS, his home of some 20 years, and was buried the following day, Tue 30 May 1939, with a graveside service at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
