Thomas M. Gatherum

Holladay (Special) - Thomas Milton Gatherum, 50, 1730 Holladay blvd., died at his residence Saturday at 11:15 p.m. after a lingering illness.

Born Jan. 14, 1900, in Schofield, Carbon county, he was a lifelong resident of Utah and resided in Salt Lake City for 28 years. He was a son of Thomas and Emma J. Frankland Gatherum.

For many years he was manager of Howard's Cash grocery on Highland dr., and during the war was a parts identification expert at the Remington Small Arms plant. For 12 years he was a conductor on the old S L G and W railroad serving Saltair.

On Aug. 21, 1923, in Salt Lake City he married Neva Baer, who survives him, as do a daughter, Mrs. Patsy Feveryear, and three brothers, James T., CLaude W. and Willard A. Gatherum, all of Salt Lake CIty.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at 36 E. 7th South, with burial in Wasatch Lawn Memorial park. Friends may call at the place of services Monday evening and Tuesday forenoon.
