MICHAEL ALPERIN, 76, of Arlington, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. He was the son of Ike Alperin and Martha Oser Alperin of Memphis, and was married 40 years to Jerelyn Lee Alperin. Mike was born June 6, 1931 in Memphis and attended CBHS. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and served in the National Guard and in the Air Force. A kind man known for his genuine care for others, a sense of humor and entrepreneurial spirit, Mike founded the Tennessee Simmental Association, conceived the original Agra Center International concept, developed and owned real estate, a landscaping company, Alperin Enterprises and A Not So Used Truck Rental, and other businesses. He leaves his sons, Andrew Jerome Alperin and Ike Lee Alperin of Memphis; a daughter, Rebekah Alperin Kotselas of Bel Air, CA; three grandsons, Xavier Alperin, Henry Joseph Alperin and Jakob Steven Alperin; and his brothers, Alfred Alperin of Memphis and Ralph Alperin of Woodside, CA. Visitation will be held Monday, July 2 from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 3, at 2:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery.
