POLO – Ruth A. Borth, 88, formerly of Milledgeville, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Polo Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Ruth was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Milledgeville, the daughter of John L. and Marie T. (Winkey) Schryver. She married William Borth on Nov. 25, 1964, in Milledgeville. Ruth was employed as a secretary with Central Quality in Polo. She was a member and church organist for Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milledgeville. Ruth was on the church council and taught Sunday school.

Survivors include her husband, William of Milledgeville; two daughters, Phyllis (Stephen) Jewell of Tampico and Susan Larke of Lyndon; one son, Mark (Bessie) Ahrens of St. Paul,
Minnesota; two brothers, Harold Schryver of Shannon and Merle (Carol Sue) Schryver of Emerson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry Schryver and Ames Schryver; two sisters-in-law, Sandy and June Schryver.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milledgeville, with Jamie Gallagher and William Welk, pastors, co-officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milledgeville.
