David, or Dave, was never called Charles, which were what his father and grandfather were named. His ashes have been spread around the world, with some spread at the grave site of his parents and sister Joyce in Midland Cemetery. There is a memorial bench for David at Dow Gardens, a place he loved to visit and where he worked for 2 summers during college.
