The couple lived on a farm in Decatur Co., IN near the village of Milford, where he purchased a farm, later trading it for a store in Milford. After the Civil War, the Bradens moved westward to State Line City, IL. Another move took the family to Watseka, IL where Eliza died in 1893.
Eliza was the mother of ten children, seven sons and three daughters.
