Calvin Douglas Able, 52, of Kansas City, Missouri, and formerly of Seymour passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, in Kansas City.Born May 2, 1962, in Seymour, he was the son of Calvin Carl and Effie Rozena "Rosie" Boling Able, both of whom preceded him in death.He graduated from Seymour High School in 1980. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served for four years. He then returned to Seymour and went to work. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Several years ago, he decided he would like a change in scenery, so he up and moved to Kansas City.Calvin is survived by his sisters, Vicki (Dale) DeBurger and Nola (Jon) Bishop; brothers, Steven (Debbie) Boling and Donald (Debbie) Boling; a brother-in-law, Norman Wettrick; and several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ellen Wettrick, and brother, Michael Kent Able. The family is planning a private inurnment service in Seymour at a later date.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society through Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
