Chester P. Hancock, 76, of Lebanon, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at St. John's Hospital-Springfield.

He was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Doniphan, Mo., to Thomas Chester and Millie Myrtle Wells Hancock, who preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Cherie Lewis; three sisters, Katherine Webb, Inez Beck and Lily Ruth Hancock, also a brother, John Hancock.

He was an announcer and in sales for broadcast media. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include a sister, Polly Lambirth, of Camdenton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Chester P. Hancock will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton. Burial with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association and may be left at the funeral home.
