EDITH C. Harwood, 79, of Springfield, Ohio passed away at 8 p.m. January 24, 1997 in her residence. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 5, 1917 the daughter of Granville and Minnie (Burks) McFarland. Mrs. Harwood formerly attended the Maiden Lane Church of God and currently was a charter member of the Northside Church of God. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Mickey Harwood of Xenia, Ohio, James and Sharon Harwood of Springfield, Ohio and Gary and Sharon Harwood of New Carlisle, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nadeen and Lewis Richards and Connie and Robert Harris both of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Amy Raines of Springfield, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Harwood; and a grandson, Chris McGhee. Friends may call in the RICHARDS, RAFF AND DUNBAR FUNERAL HOME from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday and for one hour prior to the services. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Northside Church of God with the Rev. Steven V. Williams officiating. Burial in Vale Cemetery.
