Lorraine Kinstetter, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Kewaunee Care Center. She was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Kewaunee, to the late Albert and Elsie (Hastreiter) Zipperer. Lorraine and her husband, Elmer, owned a dairy farm in the Town of Casco, until retiring. She loved letter writing, which produced countless international friendships. Lorraine also loved crafting the stationery and envelopes she used to write her letters. She especially enjoyed photography.

Lorraine married Elmer Kinstetter on Oct. 23, 1946, at St. Joseph Church, Alverno. Elmer preceded her in death on May 5, 2006.

She is survived by her children, Sandy (AJ) Schroeder, De Pere; Kay (Leonard) Frank, Casco; Clint (Karen) Kinstetter, Kewaunee; Lynn (Brian) Cerkas, Manitowoc; Joe (Teri) Kinstetter, Luxemburg; David (Angela) Kinstetter, Florida; Ken (Ann) Kinstetter, Kewaunee; Don (Janet) Kinstetter, Wyoming; Rob Kinstetter, Luxemburg; 27 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Keup and Dolores (Melvin) Shimon.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanore Schmoock.

Friends may call at Wiesner-Massart Funeral Home, Casco, on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Tuesday morning at the funeral home until 10 a.m. Prayer service will be Monday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Chuch, Casco, at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Lorraine's family wishes to thank the staff at Kewaunee Care Center and Dr. Tom Zenner for their care, kindness and concern. A special thank you to Fr. Milton Suess for meeting Lorraine's spiritual needs.
