Born in Lauderdale County, Rogersville, AL to Andrew and Beulah Davenport, lived her early life in Tuscumbia, AL, later married and moved to Gardendale, AL then on to Warrior, AL. She was a charter member of East Gardendale Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Alton Davenport, husband of 32 years, Bill Whitlock, daughter, Pat Whitlock Walker. She is survived by her children Billy Whitlock (Cindy) Beverly Nichols, Anita Hamilton (Jay), grandchildren, Chris Nichols (Brooke), Ben Nichols (Bobbie), Nicole Tumlin (Shane), Heather and Erin Whitlock, Amber Rouse, Candace Day (Luke), Kristi and Brandon Mulvehill, great grandchildren, Emory and Cooper Nichols, Sayge Tumlin, Brinnan Crisler, Kinsey Jett, Lyla Day, Jordan Mulvehill and Isabella Deemer, Brother Austin Davenport (Betty) Sister, Mary Frances Cook. She was a beloved wife, mother, Mommaw, sister and Friend. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm July 17, 2012 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, visitation will be on Monday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
