Mrs. Rena Novak, age 93, of 1325 N. 8th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday, February 11, 1999, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.


A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, February 15, 1999, at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Deacon Ken Nelesen will officiate, with entombment of her cremated remains at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.


Rena was born May 10, 1905, at Bessemer, Mich., daughter of the late Alfred and Maria Antonia Bartilli. She grew up and was educated in Bessemer, Mich. She was a seamstress at Schuette Bros. Dept store until her retirement. Rena was an avid reader.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Gerri and George Bessert, Manitowoc; two grandsons, David and Ellen Hlinak, Palo Cedro, Calif., Tom Hlinak, Manitowoc; five great-grandchldren; Tammy Hlinek, Redding, Calif., Steven and Michelle Hlinak, Moaresville, N.C., Mark Hlinak, Elgin, Ill., Brenda and Diane Hlinak, Green Bay; two great great grandchildren, Kevin Hlinak, Redding, Calif., Ashley Hlinak, Moaresville, N.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Ingred Bartilli, Marquette, Mich.; a sister, Jenny Hempelmann, West Bend. She was preceded in death by a brother, Valdo Bartilli.


Relatives and friends may call at Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 12 noon Monday until the time of service.
