Harvey Clinton Brooks, age 86, of Mankato, died December 4, 2019 at Benedictine Living Community in Saint Peter.
Memorial service will be held 11a.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Northview~North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, in North Mankato with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato.
Harvey was born January 2, 1933 to Frank and Hilda (Anderson) Brooks. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1950. Harvey married Alvera Rose Biedscheid on April 26, 1952. As a young man, Harvey boxed and coached Golden Gloves Boxers in Mankato. He farmed for most of his career. After retiring from farming, Harvey opened Meadowbrook Stables and Meadowbrook Haunted Attractions.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Alvera; his sons, Randy (friend Paula), Frank (friend Karen), Rick (Paula), Tom (Becky), and Joe (Karen); his daughter, Terri; daughter-in-law, Nancy; grandchildren, Amy Radunz, Ben Brooks, Dusty (Ashley) Brooks, Kevin Brooks, and Jason Brooks; five step-grandchildren; many great grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Harvey was preceded in death by his son, Jack; his parents, Frank and Hilda; and his sisters, Dr. Marion Brooks and Bess Van Cleve.
