Edith lived most of her life in the Asbury, Rupert, and Clintonville areas of Greenbrier County, except for a few years with her family in Pittsburgh. She was a devoted wife and mother, and active all her life in the Methodist Church. She loved music, and playing the harmonica was one of her musical talents. She had an interest in photography, and was one of the few members, or perhaps the only member, of her husband’s family who owned a camera in the earlier days of photography. Thanks to her, there is a great collection of family snapshots available. A niece, Jean, indicated that Edith was a midwife for an unknown period of time and also gave medical shots of an unknown nature.
