Born in Swedesboro and raised in West Deptford, he retired as a patrolman with the West Deptford Police Department. He later worked and retired as a quality control manager for Certain-Teed Insulation Co. in Winslow.
Mr. Bramble started the Police Athletic League in West Deptford, was a member of the PBA Local #122. He was also a World War II US Merchant Marine veteran and a lifetime member of St. Matthew’s Church in National Park. During his retirement, he was also known for selling tomatoes in front of his house.
He was the beloved husband of Helen R. (nee Miller) and devoted father of Mary Ellen (Thomas) Cooney of Pennsville and Kimberly (Richard) Waddington of Gloucester City. He is also survived by 2 brothers Charles of Buena and Gerald of Deptford; 7 grandchildren James Griffith, Jayna Griffith, Amy Brown, Richard Waddington, Jr., Joyce Mead, Randy Waddington, and Lauren Cooney; 2 great grandchildren Mia Griffith and Sean Mead.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass of the Resurrection Saturday January 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew’s Church 4th Street and Monument Avenue National Park, NJ. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105. Funeral Arrangements are by ALLOWAY-DONNELLY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES Gloucester City, NJ.
