Cathy Ellen Vaughan, 65, passed away on April 28, 2016 peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Richard Vaughan; she was the loving mother of Kristina Vaughan Danehower, Megan Vaughan Duffy and Michael Vaughan; the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Anya Vaughan-Wood, Jack Duffy and Kiera Duffy.
Born in Stamford, CT, she was the daughter of Dorothy Loften and the late Dudley E. Loften. Cathy was a talented pianist, animal lover, devoted mother and home-maker.
Calling hours will be held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Road in Stamford.
