Vietnam veteran Army∼ROBERT LEE BLACKWELL, 62, of Houston passed away on November 23, 2005 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Robert was a proud Vietnam veteran and he also retired from HL&P after 37 years of service. He is preceded in death by parents, Turner & Clara Blackwell, and brother, Jerry Blackwell. Robert is survived by wife; Lydia, daughter; Tara Blackwell, step son; Darrell Goins & wife Theresa, step daughter; Wendy Bartee & husband Scott, five grandchildren; Dylan, Cody, Shane, Kaely, & Hunter, and numerous family members & loved ones. A special thanks to Dr. Eric Bernicker and his staff along with the 20 Tower nursing staff at St Lukes Hospital for their loving care. Visitation will be Sunday, November 27, 2005 at 1 PM with a rosary at 7 PM. Funeral service is scheduled for Monday, November 28, 2005 at 10 AM at Channelview Church Of Christ; 1301 Sheldon Rd, Channelview, TX 77530. Interment at Blue Spring Cemetery; Etoile Texas.
