Daughter of Barbara Ryker and Charles B. West. She married James Solomon Casey
29 Oct 1860 in Brown County, Indiana. Eliza and James had one son,
Charles Thomas Casey 1861- 1911.
James, a Union Indiana Volunteer soldier, was killed in the Battle for Arkansas Post,
11 Jan 1863.
At the time of her marriage to James Casey, Eliza had a 3 year old daughter
Martha Ellen Sandefur (Trotter) 1857- 1937
The young widow married James R. Harvey 29 Dec 1864, in Marion County, Indiana.
Eliza and James Harvey had three children:
William Henry 1865- 1949
Charlotte "Lottie:" 1876
Barbara Rose "Rosy" (White) 1879- 1959

After the death of James Harvey, about 1881, she moved to the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, Oklahoma where she lived with her son William Henry and his family. At the time of the 1910 and 1920 Federal census she is found with her daughter Rose (White) and her family.
